Here's one of the few glimpses yet found of a show that a lot of people remember and have requested footage of - Monster Rally Movie! This aired on WSNS Channel 44 and reportedly had it's own host - a mysterious figure in a creepy costume. Here we get to see another instance of the WSNS on-screen station ID during a scene of the weird 1973 movie aired that night, Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural.

Here's the (mostly complete) opening for the NBC Saturday Night at the Movies presentation of "KISS Meets the Phantom" (A.K.A., "KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park) on WMAQ Channel 5. They even did a WMAQ on-screen station ID during it. (the recording missed about the first half of the NBC opening though)
If only the rest of the movie was as moderately entertaining as the opening credits.

Here's an on-screen station ID from the Miles Showcase Theatre presentation of the 1941 Humphrey Bogart movie "The Maltese Falcon" on WGN Channel 9. The ID is typeset on a very primitive character generator system whose service dated back to the late 1960's, and was used by other stations and networks on such news events as the 1968 Democratic National Convention and the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing. This early CG typesetting preceded such systems as Vidifont and Chyron.
