Here's another Illinois Lottery drawing on WFLD Channel 32 for all you lottery fans out there. (or is it just one person?) ;-)

That's Dean Richards doing the voiceover (confirmed!)

There's that background music again. You can also hear it in a 1984 Lincoln Tech commercial and in other WFLD Lottery Drawings that I have posted earlier. It's called "Power Generator" and is part of the Network Production Library of music. You can find it on an album of theirs calle...

Toy Gallery (Commercial #2, 1975?)

Here's another almost identical commercial for the Toy Gallery, a local business at 1825 North Lincoln that advertised on WSNS Channel 44's Popeye with Steve Hart.

This ad [which comes after a brief CG slate marked "VTR: 586 - Cut: 2 - Toy Gallery (CM :30) - M.T./D.M." - the M.T. standing for director Mike Torchia; not sure what the D.M. is] has the exact same shots (and music and voice effects) as the other variation, except this has no explanatory voiceover.

Here's an oddity - who knew WFLD had a 10pm movie at one point?

Here is the opening of the 10 O'Clock Movie presentation of "My Little Chickadee" [1940] starring Mae West and W.C. Fields, on WFLD Channel 32. (voiceover by Jim Barton)

The graphics are very similar to the type used for the WFLD "Premiere Movie".

Preceded by a WFLD Lincoln's Birthday bumper (voiceover b...

WFLD Channel 32 - Saturday Morning Movie - "Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" (Opening Excerpt, 1980)

Here is an excerpt from the opening for the Saturday Morning Movie presentation of "Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" on WFLD Channel 32. (Unfortunately, the recording began late and the only copy that exists of it has these VCR graphics over it when a copy was made - the original was apparently destroyed)

Also features a Berens Lincoln-Mercury and Award Lumber & Construction Company sponsorship (without voiceover, which must have been a glitch)

Voiceover excerpt by Ji...

Here is an (incomplete) PM Magazine Promo & Illinois Lottery Drawing from January 25th, 1986. This was shown during WFLD Channel 32's Son of Svengoolie presenting the movie "Supersonic Man". This was his last show, #334. :-(

The announcer during the lottery drawing is none other than WGN's own Dean Richards.

There's that background music during the lottery drawing. You can also hear it in a 1984 Lincoln Tech commercial and a 1984 WFLD Lottery Drawing that I poste...

Here is the opening and first minute (before the tape ran out) of Newstalk on WFLD Channel 32 during "Crusade of Mercy" week.

Featuring Naurice Roberts as host. Her guests this night were Othello Ellis, President of the Abraham Lincoln Centre, and Michael Blakely (also of the Centre) who both do volunteer work for the United Way - Crusade of Mercy.

(Notice the opening music is the same as they were using for Newscene at the time - not the other scarier music the...
