WMET 95 and a Half FM (Commercial, 1981)

Here's a commercial for WMET 95 and a Half FM - Chicago's Classic Rock.

It says (C)1981 Metromedia Broadcasting - same people that bought WFLD a year or so later?

Funny how even an album like Steely Dan's Gaucho would be considered "Classic" even though it was only released less than a year prior to this commercial airing. Instant classic, I guess.

This commercial aired on local Chicago television on Friday, August 28nd 1981.

Here's a paid annoucement from the Committee for Energy Awareness, touting the importance of American sources of energy. Features a shot of the Braidwood Nuclear Plant (Braidwood Nuclear Generating Station).

Brought to you by the Committee for Energy Awareness (a committee of energy producers and users).

How would you classify this? It's not really a PSA - is it a political ad? Ad paid for by a special interest?

This aired on local Chicago TV on...

The Lost Snipets - "Children's Dentist" (A FuzzyMemories Re-Creation)

I had some additional Snipets segments but they were transferred from 16mm film and did not have the opening and closing on them. So, I did a little editing job and added them in. Not sure when this segment was created but I went with the 1977 classic "patchwork" Snipets logo. Enjoy.

(again, not lost per se, since this one surfaced on YouTube awhile back, but it was recorded from a Miami station and didn't have the proper end bumper. Also, improved quality here)
