Here's the opening moments for an edition of one of the 100 or so newsmagazines NBC attempted until finally hitting it in the 1990's with Dateline NBC. Here's Part 2 of the final episode of Al Lerner Sports on WSNS Channel 44. Lerner was the station's first sportscaster, and would go on to a long career with such stations as WLS Channel 7, WMAQ Channel 5, WGN Radio 720 and WSCR-AM, as well as being a wrestling announcer. Here's a demo reel for Moore Animation, which specialized in live action, animation and production.

This came from a 3/4" Umatic tape that was kept by Cathy Mustari, art director for WFLD Channel 32 from 1974 to the late '80's, from a time when the station was actively shopping for production houses to handle their graphics for opens/closes, bumpers, promos, etc.

This reel begins with the company logo and a voiceover (by Paul Frees), and includes the following:

Not really TV related, but it's pretty incredible - and historically significant - "lost" footage (not known to have been publicly seen until now) of President John F. Kennedy on a trip to Chicago, his first as President, on April 28th 1961.
