Here is Part 5 from another all but forgotten Field Communications special production - The Reluctant Robot. It was produced to get kids interested in Astronomical Science; pulsars, planets, space travel, etc. You can definitely see the influence from Star Wars a couple years earlier. The budget must not have been too great because the whole thing comes off as feeling like an episode of Dr. Who. (not that there's anything *wrong* with that) ;-)

Here is the terrific "Star Tunnel" version of the ABC Movie opening, which began in Fall of 1981. This is the "ABC Movie Special" version, although the same theme and graphics were used for "The ABC Sunday Night Movie".

Really got you hyped up to see a good flick! :-)
