Way to Go! Special (Part 5, 1980)

Here is Part 5 of the Field Communications produced Way to Go! Special - an hour long (compilation?) showcase of some special kids and what they do. Has a lot of nice little slices of late seventies life as a kid. :-) The tape was dated May of 1980. My contact says that only a few of these "Specials" were made. Like I said, I'm not sure if these were compilations of segments shown on the regular Way to Go program, or if they were specifically produced for these specials. I am pretty sure thi...

This one is based on the book "The TV Kid" by...

Here is Part 2a of a long-forgotten Field Communications produced program for kids called Way to Go. This episode (which may infact be the first one) is from 1980.
I am pretty sure this was produced at the Field station KBHK-TV Channel 44 in San Francisco.
This program aired on WFLD Channel 32 in Chicago on Sunday mornings at 9:30am in July of 1981 (Thanks, smctopia!) and may have aired at other times too.

Here's the final part of the 10pm edition of Eyewitness News, with anchors John Drury and Mary Ann Childers, and sportscaster Tim Weigel with another edition of his "Weigel Wiener" segment ("the widely figured, largely feared frankfurters of the sports world"). Includes:
John introducing Tim by referring to the sharp tongue of Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka, who fined QB Jim McMahon for missing practice at their Platteville, WI training camp, and hinted to team presiden...
