PM Magazine Chicago - "Rocky Horror" (1981)

Here's a neat story on The Rocky Horror Picture Show musical that aired on PM Magazine Chicago featuring Mike Leiderman.

This is from the master 3/4" tape of the story, so it doesn't have the PM Magazine graphics that were shown on the off-air version.

Note: The audio on this is in stereo, with Leiderman's story voiceover on one channel and the music in another most of the time. (so if you're only hearing one or the other, that's the reason) I didn't g...

Here's Part 5 of a fairly early episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show - back when they were still producing it in the WLS-TV studios, and when they were still using the old AM Chicago music as the theme. On this day they had a Christmas Talent Show featuring staff members from WLS Channel 7. This part includes:

WLS-TV Engineers Sharon Gardner and Murphy Batiste act in a scene from the play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf".

WGN Channel 9 - Garfield Goose And Friends (Break & Ending, 1975)

Here's a first - the first off-air recording of Garfield Goose and Friends that has ever been found (to my knowledge). Considering the program went off the air in 1976, this is not entirely surprising. (Some apparently erroneous TV listings had it showing again for short periods around 1982, but those have never been shown to be accurate)

This recording was ostensibly made for The Morning Movie presentation of "Sorry, Wrong Number" but luckily for us they started tapin...

Here's a master tape opening for WFLD Channel 32's Eight O'Clock Movie, featuring the updated version of the graphics that were used in 1982.

We get to hear the complete musical bed without any voiceovers, so you can play Jim Barton at home with your microphone. ;-)

Also - Chris Tufts (Phantom) has prepared another Chicago Epguide for us, showing the complete run of movies that aired on the

Here's Part 3 of A Merry Olde Christmas, a look at Christmas celebrations in and around London, England that was hosted by Bob Wallace and aired on WBBM Channel 2. From the original master tape. Includes:

"We now return to A Merry Olde Christmas" bumper (voiceover by ??)

Shots of rolling English countrysides with horses and cattle open this segment, with Bob telling of local English legends such as the one about cattle kneeling on fields on Christ...

Mattel - "Mork & Mindy Toys" (Commercial, 1979)

Here's a commercial for a collection of toys by Mattel based on the TV show Mork & Mindy. Includes:

Mork doll with Talking Spacepack - "Says 8 things"

Mork Talking Ragdoll - "Says 7 things" (some even halfway intelligible)

Mork from Ork (this would have been my favorite - a little Mork action figure inside an egg that you can open - I pretty much did this myself when my mom gave me the egg from her pantyhose to play with)

Ork...
