WGN Channel 9 - "Season's Greetings From The Hulk" (Long Promo, 1981)

Here's a goofy holiday greeting/promo featuring The Incredible Hulk running around Chicago holding a giant WGN ball (ornament?). I guess this was supposed to promo the fact that WGN was getting re-runs of the Incredible Hulk show soon.

Playing the part of the Incredible Hulk is Bob Foal.

Additional information by Mr. Joey D'Auria (Bozo #2) - "Funny story about this Hulk... His name is Bob Foal ... In the late 1970's I was working with Bob at the Universal Stu...

WBBM Channel 2 - Partial Anthem, Sign-Off, & Bars (1978)

Here's a clip that's pretty rare - Includes the ending of the National Anthem (recording starts late for some reason), the Station Sign-Off (with voiceover by Jerry Harper), about 24 seconds of black, and then color bars on WBBM Channel 2. Watch during the color bars for a on-screen ID and voiceover. (different announcer)

Also includes a cool "color-lightning" station ID animation before the color bars. (Voiceover by?)

Snipets - "Fireman" (1979)

Here is another rare Snipets segment! These would air on Field Communications stations such as WFLD Channel 32 in the 70s and early 80s. This one also features the older "patchwork" logo of Snipets.

This segment features firefighter Jerry Overstreet (from what looks like San Francisco) taking you through a day in his job, and telling you why he likes it.

Produced by Field Communications Corporation. (I still say that ending voiceover sounds like George Takei of ...

Here's a commercial for Empire Carpets - the oldest one we have so far.

Features the original Empire jingle as well as the one and only Empire Carpet Man Lynn Hauldren doing the voiceover and seen tacking down the carpet at one point.

Empire Home Service, Inc. - "The Carpet King".

This aired on local Chicago TV in the Summer of 1980.

Tales of the Unexpected - "American Syndicated Version" (Opening, 1984?)

At long last, here is the different version of the opening to Tales of the Unexpected, the creepy British anthology show, when it was syndicated to America in the late-seventies to early eighties. The show was exactly the same, except for the opening and closing titles (although the music sounds a little bit different than the British version, it's definitely not the same if you listen to them side by side) This American version featured the spooky horse carousel that I think actuall...

WCFC Channel 38 - Fall Praise-A-Thon (Excerpt & Channel Switching, 1983)

Here's a segment from the Fall Praise-A-Thon on WCFC Channel 38, coming in about 25 seconds into this clip after channel switching.

This starts with channel switching (from cable TV) from an excerpt from Boone episode "Chance of a Lifetime" (which aired on WMAQ Channel 5; featured Barry Corbin and Thomas Byrd) to a "Job Mart" on cable channel with soft rock song (can any music experts here apprise as to what it is?) to a film about computers and mathematics (proba...
