Here's a neat commercial for Marvel Comics featuring kids at a playground reading the comic books. Definitely low-budget.
Features X-Men, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Captain America, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, Star Wars, and The Avengers.
Music almost sounds like the theme from Hawaii 5-O.
(ending voiceover ended just a tad early)

WKBD Channel 50 - Star Trek (Bumper #1, 1977)
Here's a neat early bumper for Star Trek on one of WFLD's sister stations - WKBD Channel 50 in Detroit. They didn't have any voiceovers or music - none of the others during the episode had them either. Star Trek fans were all business. ;-)
Since this aired so early in the year, I'm pretty sure this bumper design was also used in 1976 and maybe since the beginning of WKBD's airing of Star Trek re-runs? In other words, this is likely the very first bumper design in a long his...

Here's an excerpt from the Festival '77 pledge drive on WTTW Channel 11.
This clip starts at the end of a performance of "One O'Clock Jump" with such legends as clarinetist Benny Goodman, singer Ella Fitzgerald, trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie (the fella dancing with Ella), and Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson trumpeter/bandleader Doc Severinsen, as from the program All-Star Swing Festival, a tribute to the late Louis Armstrong which was taped at Philharmonic ...
PM Magazine Chicago - "Behind The Scenes of M*A*S*H" (1981)
Here's an excerpt from PM Magazine Chicago featuring a behind-the-scenes look at M*A*S*H along with interviews with some of the cast.
And there it is again - That music during the end of the report is the same jazzy version of the M*A*S*H theme that WFLD Channel 32 used for their bumpers when airing the episodes in the very early eighties. It's by Ahmad Jamel and can be found on the 1974 re-issue of the movie soundtrack album in place of the vocal version of "Suicide Is Painle...

WCIU Channel 26 - Eddie Korosa's Polka Party - "Behind-The-Scenes Glimpse" (1979)
During an airing of Eddie Korosa's Polka Party on WCIU Channel 26, the camera turns during a rendition of "All I Need Is You" to show some of the behind-the-scenes set-up. Thought you technical junkies out there might enjoy this little clip.
You can just make out the slide for the Baby Doll Polka Club on one of the monitors. :-)
Note: This recording was unfortunately made in Black & White even though the original broadcast was in color.

Son Of Svengoolie - "Star Trek" (1979)

Here's an early segment from Son of Sven - "Star Trek". I don't understand what happened at the end - it's like it got cut off. Was there supposed to be some other joke or a "To Be Continued..." sign? I wonder if this is an unfinished take of the sketch.
Not sure what episode this was from but based on the fact that Star Trek: The Motion Picture came out in 1979, I figure it's an early one.
This aired on local Chicago TV on a Saturday in the latter half of 1979.
The ABC Sunday Night Movie - "Star Marquee" (Ending, 1981)

Here is the ending for the older-style ABC Sunday Night Movie - the "Star Marquee" version. (Has slightly different music than the opening) This was used for a good portion of the seventies up until the Fall of 1981. (at which point it was replaced with the "Star Tunnel" version, also found here)
This aired on local Chicago TV on Sunday, March 1st 1981.
