Here's a neat clip for a contest WFLD Channel 32 had called WFLD Mystery Man - where you would have to identify which cartoon character certain features of the "Mystery Man" was made up of. 3 out of 5 correctly identified pieces wins. One piece was revealed each day. The one show here is the Mystery Man's hat - whose is it? Special bonus clue every day between 5 and 6:30!
You could win prizes such as a $100 Toys-R-Us gift certificate, one of 90 $10 Toys-R-Us gift certificat...
The Lost Snipets - "Spinning Tops" (A FuzzyMemories Re-Creation)
I had some additional Snipets segments but they were transferred from 16mm film and did not have the opening and closing on them. So, I did a little editing job and added them in. This was an early one, notice it's only 30 seconds long as opposed to the usual 1 minute length that most were in later years. I found something cool to add to this - the circa 1975 title for Snipets, during the Kaiser Broadcasting era! Notice it is a little different from the Field era one that took over...

I had some additional Snipets segments but they were transferred from 16mm film and did not have the opening and closing on them. So, I did a little editing job and added them in. This was an early one, circa 1975 (ok it's a minute long but not all of the early ones were short) I found something cool to add to this - the circa 1975 title for Snipets, during the Kaiser Broadcasting era! Notice it is a little different from the Field era one that took over in 1977. Enjoy.

WVTV Channel 18 [Milwaukee, WI] - "Partial EBS Test" (1980)
Here's a partial test of the Emergency Broadcasting System on an unknown station in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. The person was recording some Woody Woodpecker cartoons and although they cut out the commercials they did decide to record most of the EBS test. It's pretty simple, consisting only of a single, rather discolored slide.
Did they have to traumatize kids by airing these tests during cartoons? It seems like they did the same thing in Chicago too from what I recall....
WTTW Channel 11 - Children's Fair - "Villa Alegre" (Opening, 1981)

Here is the opening and first minute (before the tape ended) of an episode of the kid's show "Villa Alegre" (Happy Village) on WTTW Channel 11. Villa Alegre was the first national bilingual (Spanish/English) program in the United States. It was similar to another bilingual children's show of the era, Carrascolendas.
Also includes a sponsorship slide for Kraft at the beginning as well as the "Children's Fair" slide with voiceovers by Marty Robinson.

WGN Channel 9 - Garfield Goose and Friends - "Mama Goose & Cornhusk Dolls" (1974)
Here's one of only a few existing Garfield Goose and Friends segments, this one featuring a visit from Mama Goose as well as Hobby Corner with Amy Simon and her cornhusk dolls. All the cartoon and non-studio segments have been removed. (I assume this wasn't from an off-air recording)
Has anyone tried to track down Ms. Amy Simon who lived on Wesley Avenue in Evanston, IL who has 1 sister (now around 48 years old) and 1 brother (now around 46 years old)? Amy herself would be a...
