Here's the first opening titles for WFLD Channel 32's Super Cartoon Sunrise.

This opening (which we previously saw a promo for) spotlights Woody Woodpecker, Tom & Jerry, Popeye, and Fred Flintstone & Friends (a syndicated package of 1970s episodes, not to be confused with the original Flintstones series which was still being run by WGN Channel 9 at this point).

WFLD Channel 32 - "Mighty Woodpecker" (Opening Screw-Up, 1981)

Here's the opening for what was supposed to be Mighty Mouse on WFLD Channel 32, but instead they played the opening video for Woody Woodpecker. The voiceover by Dr. Don is correct though.

The screw-up likely occured because Mighty Mouse had replaced Woody Woodpecker in this timeslot about a month prior to this airing.

Notice, the font on the WFLD Woody Woodpecker logo is a bit different than the more rounded design

Here's a strange technical difficulties moment from an airing of the series 3-2-1 Contact on the PBS station WCAE Channel 50 (St. John, Indiana) - which later became WYIN Channel 56. (giving up the Channel 50 frequency which would then be taken over by WPWR-TV)

We start, innocently enough, with the animated CTW (Children's Television Workshop) logo opening, already in progress, followed by the opening titles sped way-up. Now wait - you might assume that this is the tec...
