These were created by Rick Reinert Productions, who also did the opening for the ABC Weekend Special and Afterschool Specials.

Here's a commercial for Omnibot from Tomy.

Here, remote-controlled robots make like ordinary human beings in various situations (around swimming pools, at old Western saloons, and waiting for subways), all at the touch of a hand or through a programmer which takes ordinary audio cassette tapes.

These were way-expensive to buy when I was a kid (or at least the Omnibot 2000 was) but I did have a friend who had the Verbot, a cheaper version also from Tomy.<...
