Screaming Yellow Theater (Svengoolie) - "Phyllis Diller Impersonator" (1972)

Here's a segment from Screaming Yellow Theater - the original Svengoolie, which aired on WFLD Channel 32 from 1970-1973. Svengoolie was played by Jerry G. Bishop.

This Break #2 from an unknown episode number features an impersonator of famous comedian Phyllis Diller.

I'm thinking that "SYT #1" as the clapboard person says, refers to the fact that it's Movie #1. (2 movies a night were shown for most of the run of SYT)

According to the TV listings, ...

Here's another segment from Screaming Yellow Theater - the original Svengoolie, which aired on WFLD Channel 32 from 1970-1973. Svengoolie was played by Jerry G. Bishop. By this point, if the clapboard is of any indication, the SYT title had been eschewed in favor of Svengoolie.

This transitional segment is from Show #60 (according to the clapboard). However, there is no recording date.

This segment starts out with Svengoolie at the ...

WSNS Channel 44 - Star Spangled Movie - "You're Telling Me!" (Bumper #5, 197?)

Here is something extremely rare - some bumpers and on-screen station ID's during the "Star Spangled Movie" presentation of the W.C. Fields film "You're Telling Me!" on WSNS Channel 44.

It's too bad this person didn't go to the kitchen to make a sandwich - it would have been nice to have a complete bumper or commercial break.

Notice this bumper is different! The ol' 44 Film Cans with the title of the film and W.C. Fields name - look at the font.

Here, at long last, is an opening to the WLS Channel 7 3:00 Movie! This one is for the campy, explotative "Women in Chains" (boy, this was really good wholesome afternoon fun, eh?) This must have been around the time that "Prisoner: Cell Block H" was popular. :-)

Voiceover by Ernie Anderson.

This was originally aired as an ABC Movie of the Week from 1972.

The opening to The 3:00 Movie here is similar to The ABC Sunday Night Movi...
