This clip made possible by the donations from our generous group of "Fuzzketeers" during the Spring 2012 Tape Transfer Fundraiser.

Here's yet another opening for Popeye with Steve Hart on WSNS Channel 44, which (after the lighthouse shot with the "44" logo on top) starts off with a later clip of Steve and Little K (the hairdo on Steve seems to suggest 1976), plus his other ...

WCIX Channel 6 - Snipets - "Pride Has Many Faces" (1984)

Here's another rare Snipets segment! These originally were created by and aired on the Kaiser Broadcasting / Field Communications stations such as WFLD Channel 32, in the 70s and early 80s. However, with the sale and dissolution of Field starting in 1982, for whatever reason Snipets segments popped up on a few other non-Field or former-Field stations, even as late as 1986!

This particular a...

The transfer of this video clip made possible by your generous donations!

Here's the good news - someone recorded The Ray Rayner Show at various times in the early seventies! Now the bad news - they only recorded the cartoons, and cut out nearly everything else. :-( I bring you the only snippets left - a few excerpts of the clock that they would show the time on, and in some cases, the chalkboard with the date, weather, and sports scores. Some might wonder why...

WFLD Channel 32 - Super Cartoon Sunrise - "Battle of the Planets Variation" (Opening, 1979)

Here's another opening for Super Cartoon Sunrise on WFLD Channel 32, which was saved on 16mm film. The lineup consists here of Woody Woodpecker, Popeye, Battle of the Planets, and Fred Flintstone and Friends.

The theme song used is a jazzy, funky, disco-fied instrumental version of "Hail, Hail, The Gang's All Here." (anyone know where it came from or who played on it?)

This film was produced for WFLD by Chicago-based Ritter-...
