Here's a demo reel for B.J. & Dirty Dragon featuring Dave Dillman, director of the show, which aired on WFLD Channel 32. It features two examples of musical numbers from The Thumptwangers with Maynard the Crow, preceded by technical descriptions by Mr. Dillman. This was transferred from a 2" quad tape, which starts off with color bars and accompanying (approx.) 400 Hz tone.
First up is the Thumptwangers' lip-syncing (or beak-syncing, if you will) to Ray Stevens' "Fredd...

Here's a sketch from Popeye with Steve Hart on WSNS Channel 44, followed by the ending credits.
This sketch is titled "The Greasy Gourmet" (the title of which is a takeoff on The Galloping Gourmet), with Steve in the title role (and a bad French accent) and Nancy Boyle as his assistant. He announces his intention to make "ze French sian" (sp?) soup, with potato peels, celery, tomatoes, onions, seasoning, noodles and chicken (a rubber chicken, probably left over f...

Found on an ancient, open-reel black & white skip field recording that was donated to us along with a bunch of other miscellaneous stuff, and tucked away at the end of the reel, this gem was discovered - some footage from Garfield Goose and Friends on WGN Channel 9 that has been lost and unseen for almost 40 years!! (originally broadcast in color, but captured on this early home videotape recorder in black and white)
As y...
WGN Channel 9 - Ray Rayner and His Friends - "Crosstown Traffic" (Excerpt & Partial Break, 1979)

Here's another "Rare Rayner" clip. ;-) A surviving excerpt from an episode of the Ray Rayner show on WGN Channel 9.
In yet another example of synchronicity, this clip just happens to be from the same exact date (just earlier in the day) as a previous clip we found that came from a completely different source. Remarkable in itself since 1979 material can be hard to find - period, much less from the same...

Here's a special video in honor of Fuzzy's Four Thousandth - a montage of weather-related bumpers from Super Cartoon Sunrise on WFLD Channel 32, which were preserved on 16mm film. Since the film was silent I created and added a special kooky mix edit of the SCS theme music. I think it's pretty wild - Enjoy. :-)
Here, we see Woody Woodpecker, Fred Flintstone (of The Flintstones), Magilla Gorilla, Popeye, and Tom & Jerry all appearing as they regularly are, and d...

Here's a few neat treats: the original opening and bumpers for Super Cartoon Sunday on WFLD Channel 32, from the original 16mm film. (Previous to this we had only seen the 1984 version).
The cartoon characters spotlighted in the opening are Magilla Gorilla, Casper (The Friendly Ghost), Popeye, Valley of the Dinosaurs and The Jetsons. This is followed by two bumpers, one for
