Here's a commercial for Halls Mentho-Lyptus cough tablets (cough drops).

"Vapor Action"

This aired on local Rockford, IL TV in early January 1979. (not Chicago, but close enough)

Trust me, with the B.O. lingering in the cab, he don't need Hall's! ;)

Who's the guy in the Halls commercial?

Why am I thinking he looks a lot like Harvey Lembeck (of "Beach Blanket Bingo," etc. fame)?

That Vapor-Action sound! There's something that takes me back...

I remember this when I was a kid! That sound brings me back, too! I remember thinking, "What's the big deal if she's a woman cabbie?" I also remember thinking that the logical thing adults would do would be to give intelligence tests to all the adults and make the smartest ones the leaders.
