Here's a Snipets segment on "the Abraham Lincoln of Mexico," Benito Juarez (1806-1872), as aired over WKBS Channel 48 in Philadelphia, PA (the late, lamented sister station to our own WFLD Channel 32), within a repeat of an episode of The Flintstones.

After the opening titles (with 1977 copyright date, meaning that this was originally produced either within the last months of Kaiser Broadcasting's existence, or within the first few months after Field took over all of Kaiser's stations as of that point), they get right to a capsuled description of Juarez' bio - of Zapotec Indian descent, born into poverty, law school, entering politics, becoming Governor of Oaxaca, a stint in prison, and finally becoming president of Mexico itself (and is cited as the founder of modern Mexico) - ending with the "Produced by Field Communications" bumper variant. (voiceover by ?? - still have no idea who this is)

    Main voiceover by ??

(TRIVIA NOTE: It was Juarez that the late Italian dictator, Benito Mussolini, was named after.)

This aired on local Philadelphia TV on Wednesday, July 13th 1983 during the 5:00pm to 5:30pm (Eastern) timeframe. (during the last few weeks of the station's existence)
