WSNS Channel 44 - Monster Rally Movie (Opening, 1976-1980) [Raw Footage, Take 1]

Here is some neat raw footage - Take #1 of the opening for Monster Rally Movie This take was not used and differs slightly from the final version chosen (along with missing the post production color effects and titles)

The host of Monster Rally Movie, seen here, was John Dickinson. He had a number of behind-the-scenes jobs at the station, including being the director of The Money Movie (and also seen in another clip on the site getting the sleeper hold put on him during Sports Spotlight)

This opening was made in 1976, but was used for throughout its run up until about 1980. According to our research, the first Monster Rally Movie aired on Friday, October 1st 1976. The film shown was "Die Screaming, Marianne" (1973).

"We've summoned you here for a monster revival. Thrilled you could join this gathering of ghouls... It's a Monster Rally!"
