WFLD Channel 32 - CNN News Headlines With Kathy McFarland (1983)

Here are two News Headlines segments (with slight variations) featuring Kathy McFarland on WFLD Channel 32. These previews for the news appeared at two different times during the airing of the 7 O'Clock movie that night. The top story was Mayor Jane Byrne conceding the Democratic primary to Harold Washington.

By 1983 WFLD had dropped the "Newscene" moniker, and went with the generic "News Headlines". It also stopped being listed as a separate program airing at 9:55pm. Strange anomoly: Only nine days prior to this they weren't calling it "CNN News Headlines" but instead "WFLD News Headlines".

This is the latest Kathy McFarland footage I've found so far - I wonder when she officially left WFLD? I wonder where she is today?
