Screaming Yellow Theater (Svengoolie) - "Pied By Coppock" (1972)
Here's another segment from Screaming Yellow Theater - the original Svengoolie, which aired on WFLD Channel 32 from 1970-1973. Svengoolie was played by Jerry G. Bishop. This is from Show #43 - Movie 1, Break 3. It was directed by Dave Dillman. And that's Joe Oher doing the clapboard, who later also produced and directed (and did some writing) on the Son of Svengoolie show.
This one features an appearance by Chet Coppock - giving a pie in the face to Svengoolie during the "Scare Mail" segment. Sven also talks about the losing campaign of Sig Sakowitz and sings him a goodbye song. Sig was a columnist for the Sun-Times and radio talk-show host who apparently ran an unsuccessful campaign for President at one time.
Note: the voice at about 25 seconds in that says "And what was that?" was done by Rich Koz.
This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, November 10th 1972. (recorded on Tuesday, November 7th 1972)
