Here's another segment from Screaming Yellow Theater - the original Svengoolie, which aired on WFLD Channel 32 from 1970-1973. Svengoolie was played by Jerry G. Bishop. This is from Show #43 - Movie 1, Break 2. It was directed by Dave Dillman. And that's Joe Oher doing the clapboard, who later also produced and directed (and did some writing) on the Son of Svengoolie show.

This one features an appearance by a young boy who Sven calls "Henry". (Anyone know who he was?) Henry helps out Sven by bringing him his guitar as he plays the "Stump the Crew" game. (By the way I think his headband says, "I Love You Truly Svengoolie")

The song you hear in the background at the beginning of the clip is Svengoolie's theme song, the 1958 instrumental "Rumble" by Link Wray and his Ray Men. (with a loop of some screams added for good measure)

Note: the voice at about 1 minute, 5 seconds in that says "The David Suskind show?" as well as the other responses to Jerry G.'s questions during the Stump the Crew game were done by Rich Koz.

This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, November 10th 1972. (recorded on Tuesday, November 7th 1972)
