Here's something pretty rare - the ending of a WGN Presents airing of "Mutiny on the Bounty" from 1977! You'll notice the graphics used here are the scrolling movie marquee version which we also saw in this example from 1980. I thought they were using an earlier version of the opening in 1977. Actually, I have an example from 1979 that uses the older version's "spotlight" motif with movie stars faces inside them. I guess all we can conclude is that they switched around the openings they would use on WGN Presents from time-to-time? Includes:

Ending of the movie

Night Beat preview with Marty McNeeley - Headlines Include: 34-year-old school teacher is charged with the murder of her husband, a school administrator; a Schaumburg fireman is killed after responding to a false alarm; Begin-Carter talks get underway; Bulls beat 76'ers; and the mysterious "Let's shed a sad tear for the trials and tribulations encountered by a Newsnine reporter..."

Commercial: Mr. Clean

Commercial: McDonald's Gift Certificates - "Say Merry Christmas" (1976 Copyright, I think)

Commercial: Infini perfume (available at Lord & Taylor) (ending voiceover by George Bauer)

Commercial: Thom McAn shoes

Ending of WGN Television Presents with voiceover preview for Saturday night's presentation of "The Victors". (voiceover by George Bauer)

WGN Editorial by Corporate Vice-President Alexander Field - "Kenilworth & Other School Districts Lose Federal Funding Over Not Signing Anti-Discrimination Pledge" (voiceover by Len Johnson)

Partial Commercial: Chicagoland Chrysler-Plymouth Dealers (featuring Frank Converse) (before tape cuts out)

This aired on local Chicago TV early Saturday, December 17th 1977 at 2am!
