Here's some more results from the open reel transfers financed by our generous group of Fuzzketeers during the Reel Transfer Fundraiser #1. Look for a lot more, coming soon!

Here's the ending part of an edition of NewsCenter5 with Jim Ruddle and Linda Yu on WMAQ Channel 5, followed by a (mostly) complete editorial. Includes:

The tail end of a sports report by Greg Gumbel, followed by Linda introducing a "Barry's People" report by Barry Bernson on the people who keep score for a living at Wrigley Field during Chicago Cubs home games. Featured are shots of the various scorekeepers changing numbers as the innings in each game progress, and interviews with "scoreboard men" Roger O'Connor, Art Sagel and Sam Bongiorno.

Jim provides a brief update on voting in Springfield, IL on the ERA before saying good night. We are then treated to a full shot of the set, with weatherman Jim Tilmon alongside Jim, Linda and Greg, and an RCA TK-44A/B camera with teleprompter setup mounted on the top of the camera lens.

Voiceover (by ??) advising viewers to stay tuned for The $1.98 Beauty Show, and for Quincy at 9pm; "a Channel 5 Editorial follows immediately."

WMAQ-TV Editorial 5 by editorial director Dillon Smith - tape cuts off after he introduces himself, and resumes as he's in the middle of his editorial about waste of taxpayer money on the salaries of school board employees, and urging the board to cut jobs before cutting education programs.

Ending Editorial 5 bumper slide - Dillon Smith, Editorial Director; Monte Newman, General Manager

This aired on local Chicago TV most likely on Wednesday, June 18th 1980.
