Here's Part 2 of WLS Channel 7's news coverage of the crash of American Airlines Flight 191 (a DC-10 manufactured by McDonnell-Douglas; scheduled to travel from Chicago to Los Angeles), 1/2 mile northwest of O'Hare Airport. Featuring Diane Allen and the voice of eyewitness Bruce Zupek. Includes:

Diane Allen is on the phone with Bruce Zupek, a private pilot who was an eyewitness to the crash as he was driving by. He tells Diane he saw the plane in its take-off approach, and noticed that it had "a white streamer" behind the No. 2 engine, lost altitude and stalled around 600 feet, made a duck turn, rolled over, crashed and then burst into flames.

Diane then reports that Elk Grove High School has become a temporary morgue for housing the bodies of those on board (there were no survivors). Live shots of the burning remnants remain on screen behind her as she reports on the crash. She then mentions there is a trailer park near the area, but it was not affected by the crash which happened within O'Hare Field itself, into a hangar where used parts were stored. The screen behind Diane then changes to the map of the crash area which was seen in full screen in Part 1, and she recounts what Bruce told her, and mentions that the FAA and Mayor Jane Byrne are or will be on their way to the scene. One last shot of the crash site from Higgins & Elmhurst is shown before cutting to a commercial break.
