A true fuzzy memory (since the reception was pretty bad) - here's Commercial Break #1 from the Son of Svengoolie presentation of "Attack of the Mushroom People" on WFLD Channel 32, which features Chicago Radio DJ Bobby Skafish (doing his best Mick Jagger impersonation - well, physically - not vocally) and "The Not-Ready-For-VHF Blues Band" performing his singing tribute to Sven. (the song Bobby sings is a parody of the old blues song "The Seventh Son" by Willie Dixon)

Bobby Skafish was with WDRV 97.1 FM - The Drive and WXRT 93.1 FM prior to that.

Cicero/Berwyn alumni will enjoy seeing a shot of the old Berwyn theatre marquee at about 2:04. :-)

Trivia Note: Bobby Skafish is the cousin of local punk rock pioneer Jim Skafish, seen here in this clip from a 1991 episode of Wild Chicago.

Also includes:

Commercial: Chicago Tribune Magic Zingo game

Commercial: Mott's Apple Juice - "Sink Your Taste Into Mott's Apple Juice"

Commercial: Lemon Fresh Joy

Commercial: Bausch & Lomb Saline Solution

WFLD M*A*S*H promo (voiceover by Jim Barton)

Son of Svengoolie "Tombstone" bumper (voiceover by Jim Barton and Rich Koz)

WFLD On-Screen Station ID

"And now, let's drink..."

This aired on local Chicago TV on Saturday, April 23rd 1983.
