Here's Part 4 of a complete edition (with commercials) of ABC's World News Tonight with Peter Jennings in London and Max Robinson in Washington (Frank Reynolds was on vacation), from the day of the worst air disaster in U.S. history, the crash of American Airlines Flight 191 just outside Chicago's O'Hare Airport. This segment has more of the non-crash news of the day. Featuring John Laurence, Doreen Kays, and Barrie Dunsmore. Includes:

Max Robinson reports that President Carter and Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev are expected to meet five times during next month's Vienna summit, for the signing of the SALT II treaty.

From London, Peter Jennings reports on Israel's handing over of the Sinai to Egypt and future peace negotiations over Palestinian self-rule. The first report is from John Laurence in El Arish, Egypt ("Via Satellite"), with clips of the ceremony signifying the transfer. Next is a report from Doreen Kays leading off with Egypt's President Anwar Sadat watching the unfolding events on TV; followed by Barrie Dunsmore in Beersheba, Israel reporting on negotiations over Palestinian self-rule. Features statements from Egyptian Defense Minister Hassan Ali, Israeli Interior Minister Dr. Yosef Burg, and U.S. Secretary of State Cyrus Vance; Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan is also seen briefly.

Peter next recaps the following stories around the world:

- Ongoing anti-American demonstrations outside the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, Iran, protesting the U.S. Senate's condemnation of executions in that country

- The assassination by Basque separatists of a general, two colonels and their drive in Madrid, Spain

- The 87th birthday of Yugoslavia's Marshal Tito.
