Here's another segment from Screaming Yellow Theater - the original Svengoolie, which aired on WFLD Channel 32 from 1970-1973. Svengoolie was played by Jerry G. Bishop. By this point, if the clapboard is of any indication, the SYT title had been eschewed in favor of Svengoolie.

This segment (#1-6) is from Show #59 (according to the clapboard). However, there is no recording date.

In this segment, Svengoolie, accompanying himself on the piano, introduces the next movie, a la Johnny Carson's Art Fern - "Bobby Orr, Dinah Shore, Zsa Zsa Gabor, and Garner Ted Armstrong, with Ellen Dyngeneke(sp?) as the uncharted region of Cher Bono's nose, in 'The Eruption of Mount Vesuvius', or 'Lava Is a Many-Splendored Thing'." Predictably, he is pelted with rubber chickens. Sven next sings a song devoted to a werewolf (to the tune of "Swinging on a Star"), with an "Ow! Ow! Ow!" from Stan Freberg's 1955 record "The Honey-Earthers" (a takeoff of The Honeymooners) being played at one point. For the end, he is thrown a rubber pig.

Directed by Phil Doty.

This aired on local Chicago TV sometime in early 1973.
