Screaming Yellow Theater (Svengoolie) - "Tina McDowall" (Segment #1-1, 1973)
Here's another segment from Screaming Yellow Theater - the original Svengoolie, which aired on WFLD Channel 32 from 1970-1973. Svengoolie was played by Jerry G. Bishop. By this point, if the clapboard is of any indication, the SYT title had been eschewed in favor of Svengoolie.
This segment (#1-1), with guest Tina McDowall (a Penthouse "Pet of the Year" for 1972), is from Show #60 (according to the clapboard). However, there is no recording date.
This segment starts off with Svengoolie reading the September 1972 Penthouse issue with the "Pet of the Year" on the cover, and has to be told he's on as "Rumble" is playing in the background. He shows a few pictures of Ms. McDowall with stickers labeled as "Bleep!," "Tsk Tsk!," and "Censored" pasted over her private parts, and introduces her; she is dressed like a stereotypical "sexy maid." Sven asks her as to her contemporaries as Penthouse pets, and she asks him if he'd like to meet some "hostesses." Sven speaks of the interesting articles in the magazine, and Tina says the magazine is a way to "keep abreast" of things.
Directed by Phil Doty.
This aired on local Chicago TV sometime in early 1973.
