Here's another segment from Screaming Yellow Theater - the original Svengoolie, which aired on WFLD Channel 32 from 1970-1973. Svengoolie was played by Jerry G. Bishop. By this point, if the clapboard is of any indication, the SYT title had been eschewed in favor of Svengoolie.

This opening segment, with guest Tina McDowall (a Penthouse "Pet of the Year" for 1972), is from Show #60 (according to the clapboard). However, there is no recording date.

This segment starts off with the opening titles and "The following prescribed is transcrammed" notice and opening "Rumble" theme music from Link Wray (and dubbed-in screams). Tina signs her name to "Sven's Guest Book" and puts the cover of the September 1972 Penthouse with her picture, next to it (with the "Penthouse Pet of the Year" lower-third caption and breathing sounds apparently from Spike Jones & His City Slickers' "My Old Flame," with Paul Frees as Peter Lorre). She then knocks on Sven's upright crypt, and after he emerges, "The Stripper" by David Rose & His Orchestra (M-G-M K-13064, 1962) is played. He hands her a rubber chicken and gives his opening "The time has come..." line. Tina introduces the film as "Sally Rand, Tommy Sands and Ray Milland, with [Chicago Sanitary district commissioner] Valentine Janecki as the staple in Burt Reynolds' naple..." (Sven corrects her, "Navel!," before she continues) "...in 'She Was Arrested for Burning Her Bra,' or 'No Visible Means of Support.' " Sven then invites her to pelt him with the rubber chicken he'd given her.

Directed by Phil Doty.

This aired on local Chicago TV sometime in early 1973.
