Eagle Discount Supermarkets - "Tis the Season to Be Merry" (Commercial, 1980)

Here's a Christmas commercial for the now-defunct Eagle Discount Stores, with offers for fresh fruit baskets and Eagle holiday gift certificates, available in any amount and redeemable for any item. Features the man with the white beard and red suit at the end, holding the basket of fruit.

This commercial is the same as shown here the following year, the only difference being in the lower-third text (and color) at the end.

"A very Merry Christmas to you and yours from Eagle."

This aired on local Chicago TV on Thursday, December 4th 1980.
