- Dress rehearsal for a production of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" at the Goodman Theatre at 200 South Columbus Drive, which was open to a paying audience for the purpose of helping feed starving refugees in Cambodia

Terry reporting on the CTA Snowfighter traveling on the "L" loop for a test run to herald the coming of the winter season; she notes that the yellow train will mostly be in the garage "for a while"
