Here's a memorable promo from WGN Channel 9 featuring their "Comedy Tonight!" lineup of Fall 1979. Includes excerpts from:

The Dick Van Dyke Show (5:30pm, Mondays through Saturdays)
The Odd Couple (6pm, Mondays through Saturdays)
Good Times (5pm, Mondays through Saturdays)
Carol Burnett and Friends (6:30pm)
Maude (7pm, Mondays through Saturdays)
Chico and the Man (7:30pm, Mondays through Saturdays)

Song used is "Comedy Tonight" from the 1962 Stephen Sondheim penned musical "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", which was later adapted for a movie version in 1966.

This masterful promo was produced by Pete Marino with assistance from videotape editor Frank Hollich.

This promo aired on local Chicago TV late September / Early November of 1979.
