Here's a tiny snippet of the end of "Made in Chicago" (the predecessor to Soundstage) followed by a promo for Evening at Pops with the Carpenters (main voiceover by longtime WGBH Boston staff announcer William Pierce) (ending voiceover by Bob Longbons) and then a couple seconds of the beginning of the National Newswatch break. (voiceover by Bob Longbons)

Note: This was originally broadcast in color, but captured on this early home videotape recording in black and white.

This aired on local Chicago TV Saturday, August 3rd 1974 at a little before 10pm. (six days later Nixon resigns the Presidency!)
