Here's the "Viewer Mail" segment of Popeye with Steve Hart which aired on WSNS Channel 44. This was from the original master tape, recorded on August 12th 1975. Includes:

Steve welcoming everybody back to the show, joined by the puppet "Bookie Worm" who advises this is Mail Day on which viewer mail is read; he says he will pick five winners, with the sixth to be invited to the lighthouse if they send a letter with the words "I Watch Popeye on Channel 44." Before reading the first letter, he shows a large card with Channel 44's address, for kids to send color pictures, with the "I watch Popeye..." message on the back of the card. The first letter he opens is from Jeff Lyle (sp?) of Normal, IL, who sent a drawing of Popeye and Swee' Pea; Steve's prize for him are some buttons and other surprises. The second letter is from Annie Moore of Gary, IN, who sent a very faint picture of Mrs. Mustard and an "I watch Popeye" message. The third letter is from Brent Kult of Lafayette, IN; his letter says "I watch you every day," and enclosed a color drawing with Superman, Spider-Man and Popeye; Steve announces Brent will also receive some buttons. The fourth letter is from Ronald Smith of Rock Island, IL, whose letter is a bit hard to read, but did have a little picture below. The fifth letter is from Fred Kwains, 13, and Stan. The big winner (to be invited to the Lighthouse, have lunch with Steve and the puppets, win a whole case of Kayo and an account with National Bank of Albany Park) is Charlton Shan of Wheeling, IL, who sent a letter with the magic "I watch Popeye..." words. With that, Steve signals for the next Popeye cartoon.

This aired on local Chicago TV on Monday, August 18th 1975 during the 3pm to 3:30pm timeframe.
