Here's the second segment of another rare surviving edition of Popeye with Steve Hart on WSNS Channel 44. This was from the original master tape. Includes:

CG VTR slate with tone and countdown - "VTR: 8I0 - Cut: 14 {which blinks on and off} - Air: Fri. 10/4 - "Popeye" - Dir. M.T. - Eng. P.Mc."

Steve pacing up and down wondering where Hector the Chicken and Little K are, and telling his viewers that Hector promised he'd appear today. He then checks for Little K who is hiding behind an opened case, and brings him out. Hector then arrives through the lighthouse window, very pooped, after running into several creatures around the lighthouse and climbing the lighthouse wall. Steve mentions a few of the creatures Hector could have encountered, including Merkle the Sea Monster and Izzy & Lizzie, and points out Captain Salty hanging on the wall. He and Little K then mention how the room was being fixed up, and that on Monday it was "a total mess." They then join together on the legendary Joe Raposo composition "Sing" (which was first performed on Sesame Street and had been a Top 10 hit for the Carpenters in 1973), and invite the children to join in on the "La la la" part. After they finish the song, Steve explains the program to Hector and introduces the next cartoon.

This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, October 4th 1974 during the 3:30pm to 4:00pm timeframe.
