Here's the opening segment of another rare, surviving edition of Popeye with Steve Hart on WSNS Channel 44. This was from the original master tape. According to the notes in with the tape, this was "Show #2". Notice they had not developed an opening with a theme song yet. Also the TV listings at this point only said "Popeye", not "Popeye with Steve Hart". Includes:

Opening shot of closeup of lighthouse window with ship sound effects, dissolving into Steve Hart (with his "good old buddy" puppet "Little K" and a talking picture known as "Captain Salty") introducing the program and promising an appearance by "Hector the Chicken" in the course of today's edition, before segueing into the first (early 1960s King Features-syndicated, Al Brodax-produced) Popeye cartoon of the day.

This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, October 4th 1974 during the 3:30pm to 4:00pm timeframe. (Only 17 days before I was born!)
