Here's the final part of the 10pm edition of Eyewitness News, with anchors John Drury and Mary Ann Childers, and sportscaster Tim Weigel with another edition of his "Weigel Wiener" segment ("the widely figured, largely feared frankfurters of the sports world"). Includes:

John introducing Tim by referring to the sharp tongue of Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka, who fined QB Jim McMahon for missing practice at their Platteville, WI training camp, and hinted to team president Mike McCaskey he may not return to coach after the coming season; Ditka is interviewed over his sending McMahon to the doghouse, followed by another interview Ditka gave to Brad Palmer in which he opined that McCaskey was hanging him out to dry during contract negotiations.

In other sports news:

- Preparations for the Western Open at Butler National Park in Oak Brook; a replay of PGA Tournament Director Mike Shea speaking with Palmer during a live remote within the 6pm edition is shown in which he speaks of a wet ground following precipitation, but regardless the game would go on; golfer Greg Norman is also interviewed about the upcoming tournament and the playing ground

- In baseball, Atlanta Braves beat Chicago Cubs 13-4 at Fulton County Stadium, despite Andre Dawson hitting 2 homers (footage courtesy WGN Channel 9), while the White Sox lose to Texas Rangers 5-1; Tim then reads the other scores including Detroit Tigers' sweep of Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays beating Oakland A's 7-6, and Milwaukee Brewers beating Cleveland Indians 14-2 (with Paul Molitor extending his hitting streak to 35 games; alas, Tim does not name the losing team)

Afterwards comes the "Weigel Wiener" segment, with such clips shown as a fire burning on the floor of the dugout segueing into the clip of Richard Dreyfuss repeatedly shouting "Call 911!" from "Down and Out in Beverly Hills"; a wild throw at a Cubs game in Wrigley Field followed by two fans fighting over a ball that landed near the stands followed by a teary-eyed Tammy Faye Bakker insisting that "the gospel that we preach really does work"; a long-haired guy kissing a scantily-clad gal in the stands (to the backing music of The Champs' "Tequila") leading into a snippet of a Donna Rice (of Gary Hart "Monkey Business" infamy) interview; an AL umpire carrying a fan back to his seat followed by a player crashing and falling into the stands, followed by another fan leaving his seat and landing in the field, followed by a kid catching a ball, followed by another snippet of Ms. Rice pouring her heart out; with that, this edition of "Weigel Wiener" ends, as does Tim's report.

After small talk with Tim over Ditka's negotiating on TV, John and Mary Ann say their good nights, followed by a long shot of the Eyewitness News set, with the ending part of the theme music (from Frank Gari's 1984 "News Series 2000" package), and lower-third copyright notice:
