Here's a promo for News 9 on WOR Channel 9 in New York City, spotlighting anchor Tom Dunn's interest in news dating from his childhood (with a younger actor playing the younger Dunn). The real-life Tom Dunn (who died in 2006) is shown towards the end, both solo and flanked by (clockwise from lower left) co-anchor Sara Lee Kessler (last heard from on FM News 101.9 in New York, a sister station to our very own local former FM News 101.1), weatherman Lloyd Lindsay Young (last heard from on KGO 810 AM in San Francisco which let him go in 2011), and sportscaster Jimmy Myers (most recently seen on Fox Sports). At the time, the station had two newscasts during the day, at 12 noon (News 9 at Noon) and 8pm (News 9 Prime Time) (all times Eastern).

This is followed by a bumper for their overnight movie series, 9 All Night (voiceover by Ted Mallie).

This aired on local New York City TV (and in Chicago through cable) early Saturday, November 17th 1984 during the 4:30am to 6:00am timeframe.
