K-tel - Music Machine (Record Offer, 1977)
Not from a Chicago airing, but still interesting - here's a record offer commercial for the compilation Music Machine from K-tel (catalogue number TU 2560), with what looks like Robby the Robot of "Forbidden Planet" and Lost in Space fame playing the title character for this ad.
Features snippets of such hits from the late 1976 - mid-1977 period as "Blinded by the Light" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band, "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" by Andy Gibb, "Keep It Comin' Love" by KC and The Sunshine Band, "Dancing Queen" by ABBA, and "Do You Wanna Make Love" by Peter McCann.
Also featured are "Feels Like the First Time" by Foreigner, "Beth" by KISS, "Car Wash" by Rose Royce, "Hot Line" by The Sylvers, and "Got to Give It Up" by Marvin Gaye.
Available at Eckerd Drugs, Redford Stores, Disco Sky City, S.H. Kress, Woolworth, Sears, Roses, and Record Bar - oh, and did we mention Eckerd Drugs? ;-)
