Here's a WLS-TV editorial from William C. (Bill) Campbell, Director of Public Affairs, speaking from the Museum of Science and Industry, in a salute to its 50th anniversary, at one point showing a commemorative stamp (20 cents - those were the days) issued by the U.S. Postal Service. Campbell also mentions how the Museum's home previously housed the Palace of Fine Arts for the 1893 Columbian World's Fair, and was also the first home of the Field Museum of Natural History, before the Museum was established there in 1933; that (as of this editorial) over 115(?) million people around the world have visited; and that its main appeal was the interactivity factor for visitors in all its exhibits.

    Opening voiceover by Al Parker.

This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, January 28th 1983 during the 3pm to 4:30pm timeframe.
