Here's Part 3 of an edition of the TV2 News at 10 on WBBM Channel 2, with Bob Wallace substituting for then-regular anchor Bob McBride. Also featuring weatherman John Coughlin.

This edition was transferred from the original 2" Quad tape.

Includes:

Bob introducing John as "Uncle Louie's favorite nephew," leading into Mr. Coughlin's weather report which changed considerably from the past 24 hours - with no precipitation projected for the Chicago area, instead confined to states like Kentucky and Tennessee. Film footage of the Chicago River, and people walking through the bridge over it, is shown as he reports the day's temperatures, and projects a cooler and wetter August per a 30-day outlook from the National Weather Service. An old-style black-and-white satellite photo is shown as he describes weather conditions across the country, and he displays his drawing skills that are superimposed over the screen. Speaking of drawings, a crayon drawing of an outdoors scene from Carlos Gonzalez of Peabody Center is shown at one point; towards the end of his report, as he uses cooking analogies, a drawn chef's hat pops up over his head.

After the end of the weather forecast, Bob reports on the signing of an agreement between the city Environmental Control Agency and the state Environmental Protection Agency to conduct joint pollution tests and standardized anti-pollution initiatives, and to continue to receive Federal funding for their efforts, before he signals for the next commercial break by teasing Brent Musburger's upcoming sports report with a preview of the Chicago Bears-St. Louis Cardinals meet.

Commercial: Alka-Seltzer - "Stuffed Peppers" ("You're making a big mistake") (ending voiceover by ??)

Commercial: 9-Lives cat food, with Morris the cat (voice of John Erwin) wearing a baby bonnet at the start, before being summoned for "din-din" - "The Nutritious Foods Cats Really Like - Even Morris" (ending voiceover by ??)

Commercial: Shake 'n' Bake - with John Braden as Pete the Butcher ("It's Better than Frying")

Commercial: The Dry Look from Gillette - with examples of men who switch from being "wetheads" to The Dry Look (voiceover of names by Peter Thomas) (other voiceover by ??)

This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, July 28th 1972 between 10:15pm and 10:20pm.
