WFLD Channel 32 - Son of Svengoolie - "Bride of Frankenstein" (Break #1, 1983)
Here's the first commercial break for the Son of Svengoolie presentation of the 1935 film "Bride of Frankenstein" on WFLD Channel 32. Includes:
"WOOO in Berwyn" segment, with Sven as disk jockey playing "all music, all the time," starting off with a mock commercial for House of Lard (voiceover by Rich Koz) with an editorial from "Vice President and General Mangler" Zallman T. Tombstone, Jr. in which Tombstone complaining about somebody eating lunch at his desk; Sven then does a variant of the "opposing viewpoints" disclaimers with notice of "great laughter" at the end. Sven promises 3-1/2 minutes of uninterrupted music, then goes to a phone commercial in which he tries to reach Ann Landers, in which "Landers" (with a cutout where her mouth is) responds to a complaint from caller "Touch-Tone" about sky-high phone bills by noting that's how she receives big bucks for her "service." The bit ends with a mock commercial for House of Rice.
Commercial: Burger King offer for "Return of the Jedi" glasses, with images of Luke Skywalker, the Ewoks, Han Solo and Jabba the Hutt, all when you buy a Coke ("Plastic tumbler only in Massachusetts") - available till June 23rd(?) 1983 (voiceover by Jackson Beck) - (C) 1983 Lucasfilm, Ltd.
