Here's an excerpt of the Christmas Eve edition of AM Chicago on WLS Channel 7, hosted by Robb Weller and Sandi Freeman, and also featuring Eyewitness News co-anchor Fahey Flynn and then-Chicago White Sox (and later Chicago Cubs) announcer Harry Caray.

Includes:

Second half of "Seven's On Your Side" Christmas ad which emphasized the news covered in 1979, followed by a Christmas ball with photos of key Eyewitness News personalities of the time (including Fahey Flynn, Joel Daly and Tim Weigel) emblazoned (voiceover by Gary Gears)

Commercial for Fancy Fingers nail tips - "A Good Tip From:" Walgreens, Osco, Ribordy and Cavett-Rexall drug stores

Robb and Sandi thank the participants of the Christmas Eve special, including the Chicago Children's Choir, Fahey Flynn (who's flanked by children seated next to him and the hosts), Tim Weigel, Harry Caray, Frank Mathie and Fred Kasper, before previewing more Christmas Eve fun

Commercial offer for The Greenhouse - A Guide to Indoor Gardening, with flash cards explaining how to take care of various indoor plants including the Dwarf Boston Sword Fern (ending voiceover by Jack Reynolds)

Sandi gives extra thanks to pianist Clarence Perez and the Elves, and Robb thanks Janet (?) who helped with Christmas gifts; Sandi then mentions that AM Chicago will not be seen on Christmas Day, to be preempted by the Papal Mass held by Pope John Paul II at Grant Park in the summer; afterwards the Chicago Children's Choir closes the show with a rendition of "Silent Night."

Beginning moments of promo for "I Remember Mama" on The 3:30 Movie (voiceover by Art Hellyer?) before recording cuts out

Quality is a little rough - this was just a surviving excerpt on a dirty tape.

This aired on local Chicago TV on Monday, December 24th 1979 during the 9:00am to 10:00am timeframe.
