Here's Part 4 of Fahey Flynn Presents: Seven's Greetings, a Christmas Eve special hosted by the legendary news anchor on WLS Channel 7. This was transferred from the original 2" quad master tape (long since trashed) onto 3/4" Umatic, from which this transfer was made. The show was recorded on Tuesday, December 19th 1972.

Featured in this part are Susan Peterson, Bob Kennedy, the Viking Ensemble of Homewood-Flossmoor, Bill Frink, Duane Dow, John Coleman, Suzy Streetnoise, and the puppets Mike Raphone and Meisterburger.

This part begins with Fahey introducing another Homewood-Flossmoor group segment with Bob and Susan (whose name is shown in one part of the Christmas tree as "Sue"); she starts off about explaining the significance of Christmas and Bob explains all the Christmas chestnuts and rituals and their appeal one year after another, as the choir backs them up with "Silent Night"; he then introduces the Ensemble's rendition of "A Christmas Waltz."

Next, Fahey introduces a segment from sportscaster Bill Frink and Duane Dow about how to assemble certain Christmas toys ("...don't lose your cool, stay calm..."), with Bill giving commentary and Duane demonstrating how to put unassembled toys together (and not doing it all that well).

After their segment ends, Fahey introduces another update from John Coleman, who reports of a call from Strategic Air Command of Omaha who reports the sighting of a UFO around the area of the North Pole about 11:15pm (EST) ("...one large radar beep, followed by eight small little beeps..."), but it is not known whether that beep indicated Santa.

Back to Bob and Susan, who after more pleasantries introduce the Homewood-Flossmoor Choir singing "Happy Christmas Polka."

Next, Mike Raphone comes forth with Christmas and New Year's greetings in Italian - "Buon Natale - Buon Capodanno," ending this segment.

This aired on local Chicago TV late Sunday, December 24th 1972 during the 11:00pm to 12:00am timeframe.
