Here's Part 6 of Fahey Flynn Presents: Seven's Greetings, a Christmas Eve special hosted by the legendary news anchor on WLS Channel 7. This was transferred from the original 2" quad master tape (long since trashed) onto 3/4" Umatic, from which this transfer was made The show was recorded on Tuesday, December 19th 1972.

Featured in this part are Bob Kennedy, Susan Peterson, Charles Rowe, the Viking Ensemble and Choir (directed by Walter Rodby), John Coleman, John Drury, Sid Ordower, Jim Stewart, Suzy Streetnoise, and the puppets Mike Raphone and Meisterburger.

At the start of this part, Charles Rowe walks in humming a few bars of "Jingle Bells" as Bob and Sue recognize him. Charles then mentions that they'd hoped to be joining the Viking Choir in their next number. The Choir then performs an extended version of "O' Holy Night."

Fahey then breaks in with an urgent report from John Coleman, who reports that Strategic Air Command has confirmed that what was sighted as a UFO was in fact a certain S. Claus who is being accompanied on his trip by a jet squadron - and is then handed a bulletin that indeed, Santa is within the Chicago area delivering his various gifts to Chicagoland residents, and the radar finally shows movement.

Fahey then joins the rest of WLS's talent and the Viking Choir to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - and they all join in on "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." Near the end, the "Merry Christmas" message turns up on the screen.

This aired on local Chicago TV late Sunday, December 24th 1972 during the 11:00pm to 12:00am timeframe.
