Courtesy Home Furnishings - "Hotdog Catastrophe" (Commercial, 197?)

Here's a commercial from Courtesy Home Furnishings that many people seem to remember, spotlighting their line of Durafab (a "miracle" plastic fabric that looks like fine cloth slipcovers and could be washed with soap and sponge).

An example of its durability is at the start of this commercial with two kids sparring while sitting on a couch with Durafab, and a hot dog on a bun with mustard and ketchup barely rolls over onto the couch, apparently ruining the couch if it were not for Durafab.

Featuring (Chicago radio personality) Howard Miller at the end as the company pitchman.

I apologize for the video quality - this is the best available copy at the moment.

"Hey dum-dum - are you gonna get it from your mother!!"

This aired on local Chicago TV some time in the early 1970's.
