Found at the end of a Umatic tape recording, here's an excerpt of the 10pm edition of NewsCenter5 with Ron Hunter on WMAQ Channel 5. Also featuring a report from Don Craig, the weather with Jim Tilmon, and several intact commercials. Includes:

Partial commercial for Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), with adaptation of The Beach Boys' "I Get Around" showing the convenience of public transportation (voiceover by ??)

Ron introducing a report from Don Craig about a Chicago program to cut car pollution, with demonstrations on the workings of various devices designed to achieve that goal

Ron then reads these items:

- A rocket carrying an important communications satellite worth almost $50 million explodes a minute into its flight

- In Hawaii, a small village is evacuated due to threat of lava from Kilauea volcano

- Federal appeals court rules Concorde SST should have tryout at New York's Kennedy Airport; an appeal is expected
