WMAQ Channel 5 - Pump Room...First-Nighters (Promo, 1976)

Here's a promo for an upcoming special about the legendary Pump Room, hosted by Irv Kupcinet. The special aired on WMAQ Channel 5 on Monday, July 5th 1976 at 10:30pm.

The promo is presented by an announcer with an old-fashioned microphone from around the 1930's, regaling the various celebrities who were part of the 1938 grand opening (including Joan Crawford), right up to the present time. Featuring a jazzy arrangement at the beginning and end of the NBC Chimes. It is preceded by a paper slate, "Pump Room :30 - PR-1043 - T-1."

This promo aired on local Chicago TV in the days leading up to Monday, July 5th 1976.
